Union minister Amit Shah has proposed an idea of having a single multipurpose ID card for every citizen with Aadhaar, Passport, voter card, etc. The government is also planning the next census in India in 2021. It will be a 'digital census,' and a mobile app will be used to collect the data. Shah has also said that there should be a system to register the death of a person in the population data automatically.
