Bhartiya Janta Party members announced a bandh in West Bengal after the death of Bengal BJP MLA Debendra Nath Roy who was found hanging at a shop near his home on Monday. The situation became violent in North Bengal as some of the protestors vandalized buses as police dragged them away. The party has called for a 12-hour bandh in the region. Police personnel removed posters of BJP in the Jalpaiguri district.
