Britain is planning to impose sanctions on Belarus officials responsible for "rigging" the August 9 presidential election and action crackdown on protests against President Alexander Lukashenko. "Given that delay, given Lukashenko's fraudulent inauguration, I have directed the FCDO sanction team to prepare Magnitsky sanctions," Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said. UK is imposing sanctions in coordination with US and Canada.
