Bhutan issues demarche to Chinese embassy over Sakteng Sactuary claim, China adamant on its claim

Days after China claimed a huge part of Bhutan's eastern part as its territory at a global event, the foreign ministry of Bhutan issued a demarche to the Chinese embassy in New Delhi, dismissing Chinese claims over Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary. However, China refused to take back its claim and remained adamant over its stand. “Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary is an integral and sovereign territory of Bhutan," Bhutan said.
