BJP wins 25 local bodies in MP, Cong bags15

Despite the recent farmers' agitation and the ensuing violence, the ruling BJP managed to win 25 of the 43 local bodies in Madhya Pradesh. The Congress' tally increased to 15. 3 local bodies were won by Independent candidates. Elections to posts of 43 urban local self-government bodies were held in Bhopal on August 11.Congress claims it has scored better than BJP.
