Ahead of the Brexit polls, conservative MP Phillip Lee has defected to the Liberal Democrats ahead of Boris Johnson and Tory rebels showdown. Lee's defection means that Johnson no longer has a working majority in the Commons and will leave the EU on October 31 with or without a deal. However, a number of MPs against a no-deal have come together across party lines to try and stop it from happening.
