Cabinet approves bans on e-cigarettes: FM Nirmala Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announces that Cabinet has taken a decision to ban E-cigarettes. This means the production, manfucaturing, import/export, sale, storage and advertising of e-cigarettes are banned. FM said the decision is taken keeping in mind the impact it is having on the youth today as data in the US suggests that there is a 78% increase in the use of e-cigarettes by high school students in the US.
