A pro-Khalistan separatist group in Canada, Sikhs for Justice or SFJ has claimed that India disrupted the secessionist referendum for Khalistan but the theory was refuted by Canada. The issue got heated up after eight local SFJ activists were arrested on a complaint from an unidentified “concerned citizen”. 5 activists were charged with firearms-related offences after a loaded handgun was recovered from their vehicle.
