Centre sanctions Rs 10,000 crore fund for unfinished housing projects

Centre approved Rs 10,000 crore fund to help finish over 1600 stalled housing projects & endorsed setting up a special window to provide priority debt financing for completion of stalled projects in the affordable & middle-income housing sector. The govt will bring in SBI & LIC to put Rs 15,000 crore into the fund. FM Sitharaman said a rough estimate shows that over 1600 housing projects with 4.58 lakh units are stalled.
