Teng Biao, a Grove Human Rights Scholar from Hunter College during a webinar titled ‘Chinese Communist Party: An Existential Threat to Humanity and the Rules-based World Order’ said that since Xi Jinping took charge as Chinese president in 2012, things have become worst in China. Teng added that Xi attacked and killed the dissidents and at least three hundred lawyers were detained and executed in China since 2012.
