Congress calls Sam Pitroda's 1984 comment as “remarks of an individual”

Congress is trying to distance itself from Sam Pitroda's comments about 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The party has called it “the remarks of an individual” and that it is not the opinion of the party. The party said that it had requested the leaders to be careful about making any comments regarding the riots of 1984 and 2002. They have also said that BJP is not interested in justice and just exploiting the riots to get votes.
