The performance of the Congress in the National Capital assembly elections was its worst ever. This has now put a question mark on the party's ability to perform in three-cornered contests without striking an alliance. It was for the second consecutive time that the party failed to win a single seat in the assembly elections. Congress did not win any seat from Delhi in three consecutive Lok Sabha elections.
