The curfew that was imposed in Guwahati, Assam after the huge uproar and violent protests following the implementation of the Citizenship Bill, has been lifted today. The authorities decided to lift the curfew after observing improvement in law and order situation. The decision to lift the curfew that was imposed on Dec 11, was taken at a law and order review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday.
