Delhi Violence: Riot-hit North East Delhi made just 2 calls while West & South East Delhi affected by rumours

West Delhi and South East Delhi were the areas that got most affected by rumour-mongering when false information about violence and tension in the city had kept people on edge. People panicked and Delhi police received over 3000 distress calls. The Delhi police quickly busted off rumours and clarified via social media to control panic. The police had arrested more than 20 people for spreading rumours.
