Disha Bill gets cleared in Andhra Assembly, Judgement in rape cases in 21 days

The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Friday cleared the strict Andhra Pradesh Disha Bill, 2019 [Andhra Pradesh Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2019] which is aimed at providing judgement within 21 days in rape cases and death sentence for the criminals. The bill has been sent to the governor for approval after which it will become a law. CM Jagan Reddy's cabinet had approved the bill on Wednesday.
