Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal made metro and bus rides for women free in the city, and the plan is yet to come into effect, for which Delhi Metro has sought 8 months. The metro authorities want to make some necessary preparations, including seeking approval from the fare-fixation committee. DMRC gave 2 options to CM; one is to prepare pink tokens for women that'll take 8 months. Other is to make cards also, that'll take a year.
