United States President Donald Trump has said that he is working on an "executive order to establish a merit-based immigration system to further protect US workers". Trump said the new order will act as a road to US citizenship and will include the recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) programme. Trump is also willing to work with the Congress on a negotiated legislative solution.
