During LS polls, over Rs 822 cr worth of electoral bonds sold in May only

The State Bank of India replied to an RTI filed by an activist and revealed that over Rs 822 crore worth of electoral bonds were sold in the month of May alone, during the recently held Lok Sabha elections. In the month of May SBI in Kolkata sold electoral bonds worth over Rs 370 crore. Taking into account 4 months of 2019 and 6 months of 2018, a total of over Rs 5851 crore worth electoral bonds have been sold.
