Economist Surjit Bhalla steps down from PM's economic council

Surjit Bhalla, an eminent economist has resigned from the economic council of the Prime Minister. Bhalla took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce his departure from the council. He wrote that he has resigned as a part-time member of PMEAC on December 1st. The council is led by Bibek Debroy of Niti Aayog. The other part-time members of the council are Economists Shamika Ravi, Rathin Roy and Ashima Goyal.
