Editors Guild condemn Finance minister's restraining order on journalism

The Editors Guild of India condemned the finance ministry's arbitrary decision to restrict govt accredited journalists to the ministry's offices without prior commitment. The editors called the decision a 'gag on media freedoms' and have urged Nirmala Sitharaman to reconsider and withdraw it. The finance ministry said that journalists made the request and 'adequate arrangements' will be provided for reporters such as AC rooms.
