French President Emmanuel Macron's criticism of the killing of a teacher and comments on Islam and Prophet Mohammed's cartoons didn't go down well with Islamic nations. Islamic countries including Saudi, Kuwait and Yemen slammed Macron and #BoycottFrenchProducts trended on social media with retail stores removing French products. "We do not accept hate speech and defend reasonable debate," Macron had tweeted.
