Six EU countries - France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, and Romania - will take in 356 African migrants currently stuck in the rescue ship Ocean Viking after not being allowed to dock in Italy or Malta. France has agreed to take in 150 of the migrants and Portugal maximum 35. The other allocations are not yet clear. About two-thirds of the migrants are from Sudan, while others from West Africa.
