Expenditure up by 13% in the interim budget 2019

The total expenditure of the Interim budget 2019-20 has become Rs 27,84,200 crores which is 13% more than the 2018-19 budget where the expenditure was Rs 24,57,235crores. The government has estimated a fiscal deficit of 3.4% in the 2019-20 budget. It has also been said that the debt to GDP which was 46.5% in 2017-18, will come down to 40% by 2024 and the govt would concentrate on fiscal deficit consolidation programme now.
