FIU report states over 14 lakh fishy transaction reports - Demonetization Impact

Latest FIU report reveals that demonetization of 2 high-currency notes has led to an all-time high generation of over 14 lakh suspicious transactions; record of a 1400% jump over the past by banks & other financial institutions in the country. It's the highest ever figure of STRs ever since FIU started the regime. The report added STR figures previous to the note ban-61,953 in 2013-14, 58,646 in 2014-15 &1,05,973 in 2015-16.
