Following 8 deadly blasts in Sri Lanka, president appoints new police head

After the 8 deadly serial blasts in Sri Lanka which claimed lives of nearly 353 people, the president of the country, Maithripala Sirisena sought resignation of the police head and defense secretary. Sirisena after removing the police head, Pujith Jayasundara has now appointed the new chief, Chandana Wickramaratne. It is being said that Jayasundara was not ready to resign from his post, though he has not commented yet.
