India voted in favour of Israel at the UN's Economic & Social Council to deny observer status to a Palestinian human rights organization named 'Shahed.' This is the first time India has taken a step back from its decades-old position on the 2-state theory under which New Delhi sees both Israel & Palestine as separate & independent countries. China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Pak voted in favour of Palestine body.
