Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah is set to be released after over seven months in custody under the Public Safety Act or PSA. Abdullah, 83, was placed under detention along with other leaders including his son Omar Abdullah on August 5, after the Central government decided to abrogate Article 370 and Article 35a from the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir which further led to its bifurcation.
