Former president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe passed away. The 95-year-old was receiving medical care for an unspecified illness in Singapore. "I am very sad to announce the passing on of the founding father and former president of Zimbabwe, Cde Robert Mugabe," the president tweeted. Mugabe "was an icon of liberation, a pan-Africanist who devoted his life to his people's liberation and empowerment" he added.
