Good news for NRIs, they can file RTI application now

Changing their stand, Govt has announced that NRIs can now also file RTI applications. Ministry has announced earlier that only Indian citizens can file the RTI applications and NRIs are not eligible for that. Retired Commodore Lokesh Batra earlier wrote to the ministry that Indians everywhere in the world have their right to information and transparency. Govt has updated the corrected response on their Lok Sabha website.
