Govt to Lok Sabha: 41,331 Pak, 4193 Afghan citizens are living in India on a long-term basis

Union Minister Nityanand Rai informed Lok Sabha that about 41,331 Pakistan nationals and 4,193 Afghan citizens belonging to religious minorities are living in India on a long-term basis. Minister also said that in view of the difficulties faced by the members belonging to the 6 religious minorities of Pak & Afghanistan living in India in acquiring Long Term Visa, an online application processing portal was launched in 2014.
