GST rate cut not in my hands, in talks with multiple sectors: FM Nirmala Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while addressing a press conference said she is in consultation with industry bodies and sectoral interventions have been announced from time to time. GST rate cut was not in her hands and it was the GST Council that would take a decision on the same, she added. She also refused to acknowledge the fall of GDP figures, job losses questions as economic slowdown.
