HD Kumaraswamy resigns as Karnataka CM after losing trust vote

Hours after HD Kumaraswamy led Congress-JD(S) government failed to prove majority in the assembly and lost the trust vote by 99-105, Kumaraswamy has submitted his resignation from the post of Karnataka chief minister. Karnataka Governor, Vajubhai Vala accepts HD Kumaraswamy's resignation and asked him to continue as the CM till next government takes oath. BS Yeddyurappa calls the confidence motion a victory for democracy.
