In 3 months, 1 million abusive tweets were targeted to 95 women politicians

Nearly 1 million abusive tweets were sent to 95 women politicians between March and May 2019. A fifth of those tweets were sexist and misogynistic. Muslim women politicians received 55.5% more such problematic tweets than those from other religions. Politicians from marginalized castes received cast-based abusive tweets. Women politicians from other parties received more abusive tweets than those who are with BJP.
