In 3 years, CBI filed corruption charges against 4,123 govt employees

Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh has said that Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered 1,767 cases against 4,123 govt employees in last three years. Out of those 1,767 cases chargesheets were filed in 900 cases and 19 of them ended in conviction. He also said that govt is evaluating the situation to take steps to combat corruption. The prevention of corruption act was also amended in July 2018.
