Indian and American diplomats for first time celebrates Diwali

Reflecting that the relations between the 2 nations are strengthening, the top Indian and American diplomats celebrated Diwali at State Department on Monday. Indian Ambassador to the US Navtej Sarna and Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan were the chief guests at the event organized at Foggy Bottom. Nearly 200 people attended the celebration. It is for the first time that State Department organised Diwali celebration.
