Indian constitution has been amended 103 times! In 1950, the constitution was formed in a way so that the parliament doesn't have the power to override it. However, major amendments took place by Governments when they were in majority. In 1956 it was amended for the 1st time for the abolition of states according to classes and reorganize them by language. The 103rd amendment took place in August 2019 by BJP govt.
