The United States military forces killed Iran Revolutionary Guards commander Qasem Soleimani and deputy chief of Hashed al-Shaabi paramilitary force in a missile attack in Baghdad. The US Defense Department Pentagon said General Soleimani was planning to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and neighbouring countries.
