The Jharkhand state government has ordered an investigation into RJD president Lalu Prasad allegedly ringing an NDA MLA in Bihar, trying to influence him to abstain from voting during the election to Speaker of the assembly. Ranchi Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and Superintendent of Birsa Munda jail have been asked to carry out the investigation. Inspector General, Prisons, Virendra Bhusan ordered the probe.
