Ramesh Solanki, a Shivsena leader who is said to be very close to the Thackeray family, announced his resignation on Twitter after Uddhav Thackeray was named Chief Minister of a Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)-Congress government. Solanki wrote it was "the most difficult decision" of his life but his conscious and ideology did not permit him to work with Congress. He thanked the leaders of Sena for their support.
