A legislation requiring US-listed companies to disclose if their supply chains are connected to forced labour in China’s Xinjiang region, that is home to thousands of Uighurs, has been passed by the Lower House of the United States Congress. The act named The “Uyghur Forced Labor Disclosure Act” was passed with a 253-163 vote by the US House of Representatives. The bill has been sent to the Senate for consideration.
