Lok Sabha passes bill to amend SPG Act, Congress MPs walk out in protest

Weeks after the Security Protection Group cover of the Gandhi family was withdrawn, The bill to amend the SPG Act passed in Lok Sabha on Wednesday. The amendment proposed SPG to protect the prime minister and members of his immediate family residing with him at his official residence. Meanwhile, Congress MPs walked out of the house in protest after a spat between Amit Shah and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
