LS Elections 2019: Twitter records 396 million tweets, 3.2 million on counting day

Twitter announced that it saw over 396 million tweets made on its platform during LS elections 2019, which is nearly a 600% growth from the country's last elections, which took place in 2014. It includes tweets made by candidates, political parties, citizens & news media from Jan 1-May 23. On the counting day itself, it saw over 3.2 million tweets; of which a 3rd were recorded between 3-4 pm after PM declared his win.
