Majority of the MPs didn't get 2nd chances since 1951

In the past 68 years, India witnessed 16 Lok Sabha elections, and 4,8,43 leaders have been elected in the parliament as MPs. However, 58.64% of the MP s were never reelected in the Lok Sabha parliament. The number of reelected MPs further decreases as the number of terms increase. These numbers paint a gloomy pictures about the elected MPs. Though, stalwarts like Vajpayee and Somnath Chatterjee were reelected multiple times.
