More than 160 rape cases reported on railway premises & onboard running trains between 2017-2019: RTI

According to the reply to an RTI filed by Neemuch-based Chandra Shekhar Gaur, there have been over 160 rape cases on railway premises & onboard running trains between 2017 & 2019. There have been 136 rapes on the railway premises & 29 on running trains during 2017-2019. Of the 44 rapes reported last year, 36 were committed on railway premises & 8 on trains. Overall, there have been 1672 crime cases against women other than rapes.
