MPs to no longer avail food subsidy in Parliament canteen

The Parliament members of our country, who are criticised for availing special benefits have taken a laudable step. The MPs have unanimously decided to let go of the subsidy that they avail at the Parliament canteen. The decision was taken after a suggestion from Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in a meeting of Lok Sabha’s Business Advisory Committee. It will help the government in saving Rs 17 crores annually.
