Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who was flown to Berlin for treatment at the Charite hospital two days after the alleged poisoning, is now recovering. According to the hospital, Navalny has successfully been removed from mechanical ventilation and is able to breathe on his own. The leader also left the hospital bed briefly. Germany has asked Russia to investigate the case of the poisoning of the 44-year-old leader.
