The US president Donald Trump has been invited as the first foreign guest of the new emperor of Japan, who is yet to take the throne from his father. The current Emperor Akihito, 85, is set to step down by the end of this month. He's the first Japanese emperor to resign in modern history and will be replaced by his 59-year-old son, Crown Prince Naruhito. The guest with his wife will visit Japan in late May.
