NewZealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has delayed the country's upcoming elections by four weeks to October 17 after fresh coronavirus cases were reported. NewZealand remained without a single Covid19 case for several days. The opposition was pressurizing Ardern to postpone the original September 19 vote after COVID-19 was detected in Auckland last week. There was no community transmission in NewZealand for 102 days.
