The Congress government in Madhya Pradesh led by CM Kamal Nath has said they will not implement the National Population Register (NPR). Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Monday refused to implement NPR in Madhya Pradesh. The statement came after Congress MLA Arif Masood opposed the release of the NPR notification in Madhya Pradesh and asked the government to withdraw it. The notification was issued on December 9, 2019.
