P Chidambaram's CBI custody extended by Supreme Court

Supreme Court has extended former Union minister P Chidambaram's custody duration till Thursday. Chidambaram has appealed for house arrest, due to his age and security issues at Tihar Jail. He has now been put up in a “suite” at the guest-floor of the CBI headquarters in Delhi. The CBI has arrested Chidambaram in a corruption case, and SC has said that he needs to apply for regular bail before the court.
